I have just started using ID again. Somewhat knowlegeable. When I make a change to text, the entire text box is highlighted. I don't want to see any highlights! I have read all help docs, tried to change preferences to turn it off, tried everything. I have right clicked everything trying to find options to turn it off. Text is still highlighted!!I am doing a book with lots of photos and a small amount of text under the photos or quotes occassionally. I don't need to track changes! HELP!!  Thanks!

Are you sure it's track changes? If i remember correctly the highlight for track changes are shown in the Story Editor and not the normal view in InDesign.

Can you share a sample document to troubleshoot.

That is most certainly NOT track changes. Please post a screenshot.

More than likely is something is set to display in your composition preferences.
