Unable to export InDesign file with certain fonts

InDesign does not all me to change fonts! Perhaps the most basic of page layout demands is disfunctional.

There are a number of quirks with this but the latest one is as follows: if I call in a Word document and try to change the numbers to an expert font it won't work. However, I can change them to another font (one that I don't want, sometimes). Breaking link to style, putting the desired font in the same folder as the job, etc. have not worked.

• OS and version of InDesign
• Is the issue related to a specific font? If yes, what is the name and type of the font?
