Which version of your OS?
Have you tried resetting your InDesign preferences?

Hi Derek. I have OS High Sierra 10.15. Can't get any Creative Suite apps to load. Wondering if a clash with any virus protection. All very frustrating when trying to work from home. Any advice much appreciated. J

Hi there,
We're extremely sorry about the trouble you are facing with InDesign. I am hopeful that the issue is fixed by now. If not, I would request if you could share a few more details along with the ones asked by Derek:
As Derek mentioned above, you may also try resetting InDesign preferences manually. Preference settings are saved each time you quit the application. Crashing and unexpected behavior in application can be caused due to corrupt/ damaged preferences. Please follow these steps and let us know how it goes:
Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and InDesign will launch with default settings. This way all your old settings will be saved in .old folders and InDesign will recreate new folders with default settings.
Another possible issue could be Permissions errors on InDesign preferences folders. Here (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/indesign/kb/preferences-folder-read-only-issue.html) are the steps to resolve that.
Let us know if this information helps or you have any further questions. We'd be happy to assist.
Regards,
Srishti

Hi. I've just replied to Derek so hope you can see that post. It's not just InDesign but any CC apps. I had already tried the preferences clear out as spotted that advice in earlier posts. This didn't work but I will try the process again as you suggest here. I'm working from home and now slightly cut off from my IT department but I do have my own log in. Thank you. J
