Unable to scale an Image in InDesign 2020 on macOS

This is something i do hundreds of times a day and suddenly holding Command/Shift does not scale my image inside a frame.  It just affects the frame.

The scale tool works but this really is a terrible move if it is intentional.  Or is it a bug??

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about the trouble you are facing with InDesign while scaling an image. I would request if you can share a few more details like:

  1. The version of macOS.
  2. Is the issue related to a specific document?
  3. You could also try resetting the preferences for InDesign by following the steps below:
  • Close all Adobe applications
  • Go to Locations:
  • ~/Library/Caches
  • ~/Library/Preferences
  • Rename Adobe InDesign and com.adobe.indesign to Adobe InDesign.old and com.adobe.indesign.old
  • Launch InDesign from the CC

Regards

Rishabh

Sorry -- a quick restart seems to have fixed the issue!   I think it is all okay now.
