Undo not working

I'm running InDesign 16.1 on a pc. Dell XPS i7-4790 CPU@3.60GHz Windows 10 home. 64bit 8G Ram. I've looked through the community posts and haven't seen a solution. I apoligize if there is one and I haven't seen it. Any help would be appreciated.

Reset your preferences

1. (Windows) Start InDesign, and then immediately press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files. ...
2. (Mac OS) Start InDesign, and then immediately press Shift+Option+Command+Control. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
