Hello! I have inherited technical books that have a thick black line at the start of the topics. It also has set text wrap around it so I cannot hide it. I've tried looking in the paragraph properties but do not see a set up there for it. Any suggestions for removing it? At the very least, hiding it for printing? Thank you.

That is a paragraph rule. Look at the drop down menu in Paragaph rules -- check for Rule Above and Rule Below
