URGENT latest InDesign will not save new document

I am using InDesign CC (v16) for the first time ... but a long-time InDesign user. Just had to upgrade my hardware and all software.

 

This is the first use since I paid the subscription and it will not save a brand new document. It is not an old document I'm trying to open or save, even without placing any image or text it will not save.

 

Very frustrated, paid the best part of a grand, brand new Apple MacBook Air on OS Catalina and can't even save a new document! Urgent job to sort out!

Apologies for the delayed response. This is not the usual behavior of the app. Does it happen with a specific file or all? Are you trying to save file on local drive or network drive?
