Hello
We are working on a project to convert InDesign files to Illustrator files. All placed files in InDesign work perfectly well. However, for some .ai files placed in InDesign behave erratically.
I believe InDesign uses Artbox bounds defined in .ai file as bounding box to place the image. This is true for most .ai files. However, for some files it gives a slightly bigger bounding box in InDesign. This is causing issues in placing this file with same coordinates in .ai file.
What I would like to know is, is my assumption that InDesign uses Artbox as bounding box for .ai files?
If not, then can someone tell me how does it arrive at the bounding box for .ai files placed in InDesign?
Thank you
