vertical justification in tables (MENA) - LOCKED DUPLICATE

hi

ever since CC 2017 (I think) I can't use vertical justification in tables by selecting a cell or many cells or rows or columns, but I can by opening the "Cell Option" dialog box.

any idea or fix?

Have you tried restoring your InDesign preferences? Here's how:

Trash, Replace, Reset, or Restore the application Preferences

In both threads the MENA version of InDesign CC 2017.1 version 12.1.0.56 on OSX seems to be affected.

Workaround suggested by jane-e
Use the Table Panel instead:
