Work with product data in InDesign

Hello Community,

What is the best/easiest way to import product data to InDesign? Could it be possible to connect an API to work with InDesign? Or another way to connect with a live data feed to InDesign. Would be nice to avoid uploading a new file every time a change has been made to the product data.
