2022-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems (KB5014019) loaded lightroom 6 will not load. It starts to open then vanishes. Any ideas?

You may be running a version of LR 6 earlier than 6.14 (the last version of LR 6).  Try downloading and installing LR 6.14:

A number of people with similar symptoms have reported that fixes the problem.

Thank you for the suggestion, and but my LR is 6.14 before the Win 11 update on 5/25/22 and still has the problem. Starts to load, I can see the app, it pauses and shuts down with no error msg. I've reload the LR 6 a couple times, but still does the load/disappear with no error msg. Acts like it is looking for something that the win update changed or got rid of. Thanks

And you have checked to make sure the lock file does not exist? Perhaps Lr6 failed to properly close?

GoldingD is referring to the .lock file LR creates while it is running, preventing other instances of LR from accessing the same catalog:

https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/lightroom-error-catalog-cannot-be-opened-lrcat-lock.htm...

Normally, though, if a newly started LR sees the presence of the .lock file, it presents a nice message, ""The Lightroom catalog cannot be opened because another application already has it opened."

In your case, very likely you'll see the .lock file because your LR has been terminating abnormally.  Definitely try deleting it before restarting LR, but it's very possible that in this case it won't make a difference.
