Nikon d700 will not connect to Lightroom Classic CC 8.2 for tethered shooting.

I am using the latest versions of Lightroom, mac os Mojave and camera firmware.

The same hardware setup works with capture one pro with no problem and Lightroom connect with no problem to my Nikon D810 and Z6.

Thanks for letting us know, Michael.
We have seen a similar report.

Could you please generate some logs and provide us the same?
1. Connect D800.
2. After opening the Tether bar, press the ALT key and select the second Settings button.
3. Select "Enable Logging".
4. Remove D800 and connect D700.
Logs would be generated in the Documents folder.

I am sending you an e-mail offlist to get the logs.

Thanks,
Sunil

This issue specific to D700 is under investigation.
If the problem persists, could you please downgrade Lightroom Classic to 8.1 and see?

In the Creative Cloud app, select the drop-down provided with Lightroom Classic.
Select Manage > Other Versions.
Select Install for 8.1.

Thanks,
Sunil

Due to the obviously sloooow investigation process, I'm using Capture One now. For my opinion it seems to be way better for tethered shooting and it supports all of our cameras.

I had exactly the same problem. I downgrade lightroom to 8.1 version and now everything working fine. It's look like there is 8.2 lightroom version issue 🙂

I shoot a Nikon D750, same problem, going on for months. Hey Adobe: How many users will you lose to Capture One before you fix this? An update should be, "Wow, neat, look at the new features!" It shouldn't be having to trouble shoot, to be told by tech support to revert back to the previous versions, then have to reinstall your catalog. I'm running a business. How will I know when it's fixed? Why isn't it fixed? How long will it take to fix?

Lightroom Classic 8.3 was released today and contained a fix for this issue. Please update to 8.3 and verify that you are no longer seeing the issue. Thank you!

Hi  I am on LR 8.3.1 and prob still persists.
D700 + High Sierra + Lr 8.3.1  = problem of no tethering at all. Does not see camera. If I connect my Nikon D7100 it works perfectly!
