P: Video export in "Original" format fails

LR Classic CC auto upgraded from 8.2.1 to 8.3 ... with that the ability to export videos in 'Original' format fails. (The progress bar shows action, but no files are exported.)  It still can export videos in H.264 format (but obviously downgrades resolution from 4K (3840x2160) down to 1080p which is useless to requirement). I tried clearing video cache and disabling metal video acceleration ... neither addressed the issue.

I downgraded back to 8.2.1 and the functionality returned as designed.

I would suggest that the LR Classic CC 8.3 rev has a functional error with exporting video in 'Original' format.

This is on MacOs 10.13.6

Ian,

I'd like to try to reproduce what you are seeing. Can you give me specs on the file format, codec, and original camera producing the video so I can match up?

Same behavior on my LR 8.3 / Mac OS 10.14.5. Trying to export this file as Original:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/wjkdivsqta8u8gc/exportbug-2019.05.25.MP4?dl=0

shows the progress bar completing, but the file never shows up in the selected destination folder.

Since the update to v8.3 Lightroom refuses to publish video. There is no error, it just skips over them. I've tried different publishing services and am using the "Original, unedited file" option. I've reverted to version 8.2.1 since video publishing is critical to my workflow.

Windows 10, I use a plugin and originally reported the issue to the author, he suggested I try the built in export to Hard Drive publish option which I did and it still did not export video. I also found that Exporting without a publish service (to the Hard Drive) does not work either. The video's are all mp4, a mix from my phone as well as a Panasonic camera.

Please do the menu command Help > System Info to verify that 8.3.1 actually got installed. (The CC app sometimes fools people into thinking the update succeeded.)

Problem is with video PUBLISH, not export. First video is published, then Publish hangs on second video. Occurs with LR built-in Hard Drive Publish, as well as third party Collection Publisher. Note: Problem only occurs when Graphics Acceleration is on. LR 8.3.1. OS X Mojave. 2017 iMac.

I'm not able to replicate that on my 8.3.1 / Mac OS 10.14.5 / Use Graphics Processor checked.  Here are the Hard Drive publish-service settings I used:

To help Adobe troubleshoot, please post a screenshot of the entire Lightroom Publishing Manager settings window for the Hard Drive publish service, along with the first 25 lines of the menu command Help > System Info (including the two lines starting with Graphics Processor Info).

Posted on a Video export thread - is a photo export issue.

Please reference the new conversation here: Photo fails to export in Lightroom Classic 8.3 and 8.3.1 - works in 8.2

Interesting. Unable to duplicate the problem now (LR built in or third party publish)! Both publish videos with or without graphics acceleration/ with or without "original format". Only change was probably unrelated computer restart.

When I EXPORT LR skips all files.
When I PUBLISH the first file works and then LR hangs on second video for ever.

I have what appears to be same issue. I can not export a video of a set of photos. It hangs up for ever. HOWEVER, I did find some post of similar issue with 7.1 release in 2017. The issue there was that they had some photos in landscape and some in portrait. When they made the portrait images landscape (photoshop) then video export worked. I have the same issue 3 photos in landscape from my DX7100 RAW (actually DNG), one iPhoto portrait and 1 WhatsApp inport that is portrait. When I turn all into landscape with same aspect ratio (4x5) the video export works fine.

IS THERE A FIX FOR THIS!

For ref: Lightroom Classic 8.3.1 (201905241238-dcd7e3de)  , Using MacBook Pro with OS 10.13.6
