Since the installation of mojave on my mac lightroom try to synchronize all my photos making the application using dizaines of Go and making it crashing.
GreetingsUpdates to Lightroom Classic CC (8.2), Lightroom CC for desktop (2.2), Lightroom CC.Mobile (Android and iOS) were released on Monday, February 11, 2019. Please verify that your issue is fixed by the current update.Thank you for your patience.
Sorry, but I still do not understand. Since I've upgraded to LR 7.5 I have noticed that LR will hog as much as 95GB of RAM while doing nothing. I do not sync to the cloud, as I believe that is a fool's errand. Others may have mileage which varies ; Ibelieve differently.
I have noticed that Lightroom attempts to import images whilst at the same time build previews of those images, which to my mind slows the system down. This a real problem, but no one else has commented to date.

I don't find any crash reports under the email you've used to register at this forum. Is this email, used here, your active Adobe ID? Are you filling out the crash reports and sending them in when the Crash Reporter appears on your screen?
Hello Rick, I be having the same problem since I updated my iMac (2013) to Mojave’. Lightroom will never complete the sync. It does about half then it hang and become non responsive and I have to force quit. I reloaded Lightrooom few time and it does the same thing with the new version (8.0) that came out this morning. I ve send numerous crash report so it should be there.
I've reviewed crash reports for both 7.5 and 8.0 and find no crashes with your email address (the one you are using in this forum). Are you sending crash reports to Adobe or Apple? Are you submitting them under a different email?
Can you post a screen grab of one of the crash reports?
Hello Rick, just realized that the crash or unresponsive report were send to apple when i had to force quit. here s a copy paste of that report. let me know if this what you needed or if you want me to send you something else.

i don t wait much anymore but yesterday i let it go for more than 1 hour. The sync start and it says about 13500 photos and it counts down to about 500 photo, then it start up again and goes to about 8000 then it hang there. when it starts hanging i see memory usage (from another app) going from about 3gb to about 7.5gb (i got 8 gb of RAM). I tried rebuild sync data but that did not worked. I also tried to unsync all my folders in the collections and still the sync hang.
Before the application crashes the count of synced Photographs goes down, while the count of sync errors goes up. In the thousands. I'm not sure, but it also seems that the number of total (All) photographs is much larger than it was before. Stopping sync slows down the time it takes for the app to crash, but it still crashes. I was considering going over to Lightroom CC and upgrading storage, but need to migrate the old library from Classic first. That is totally impossible with the app crashing within a short periode of time.
I found this solution in another forum/thread and it has worked for me. i Reinstalled LR ver. 7.2 it got rid of all sync errors. It synced completely. I then reinstalled LR ver 8.0 and now the sync and program are working perfectly. So i think that the problem is in LR 7.5 and 8.0
Hi, I have a similar problem with LR CC Classic. My whole mac crashes and reboots during LR picture sync. I have around 10k photos online, and my iMac, running Mojave, becomes very slow while syncing, gets up to around 3k pictures and reboots. It seems to just index online photos, as it shows no progress up or downloading...
