Using LRC v12.3 on a Windows Machine.  Working in library module, with two monitors.  Primary Monitor set to loupe and second is in grid.  If I click F to go fullscreen, the primary monitor quickly goes to Fullscreen for a second then back to normal view.  If I turn off the grid view on the second monitor, it goes into fullscreen just fine and stays there till I click F again.  Prior to the latest release this was not the case, and the fullscreen worked fine.

As an update, I have reinstalled 12.2.1 via Creative Cloud and can confirm that this issue does not exist in this version, then when I update again to 12.3, the issue returns. I then go back to 12.2.1 and the issue no longer exists again, this confirms the issue is related to version 12.3 specifically.

Since installing Lightroom Clasic 12.3 my second screen keeps turning off.  I keep selcting it and shortly afterwards whilst doing almost any action. it turns off.  Particulary true when I switch between applications. When I come back to lightrrom only one screen is active.

I'm running on Microsoft Windows 11 Home.

In LRC 12.3, in the library module, with main screen showing the zoom view (E), hitting F enters and immediately exits the full screen view mode. (My secondary screen shows the grid, disappears from screen upon hitting F, and then reappears immediately...)

It really is a bug. I do not, however, have an issue with the second screen not reappearing after Lrc regains focus.
Another thing, but off-topic here: after each Lrc update, I need to reset the interface language back to Dutch, as it always reverts to English.
System info included.

Nach dem LR-update lässt sich der Vollbildmodus nicht mehr nutzen. Beim Drücken der F-Taste erfolgt kurzes Umschalten auf den Vollsreen, dann gleich wieder zurück in den Bearbeitungsmodus.

I'm running a single 32" monitor but work mostly with portrait aspect ratio images so I have plenty of room to spare in the horizontal direction. Since stick & stone I've used Lightroom in such a way that I have the "Secondary Display" window showing grid open next to the Ligthroom main window in my single display.

Since 12.3 update the Secondary Display window keeps closing constantly. Whenever I switch to some other app or even when Lightroom dialogs pop up (like when copying settings using the Copy button in Develop module) the Secondary Display windows closes and I need to Shift-G it back up again.

Anyone with the same issue? I don't know if same happens with dual displays.

I'll chime in with the same full screen issue: When using two monitors, F (full screen command) will momentarily show full screen on main monitor, but almost immediately return to normal view. If I return to single screen the F command works as normal.

I'm on Win 11 and the issue (bug) is new since 12.3 upgrade. It did not happen in 12.2.1

A scenario that causes this error every time.

I have an ultra wide screen so physically both screens are on the same physical device.  One screen is my library and the other is my loupe.  Any time I select an image and click on "edit in photoshop 2023", it immediately closes the loupe window and then launches Photoshop.

@Treefrog Photography  Yup there are multiple ways to trigger the issue, basically anything that takes focus away from the main window will trigger the closure of the secondary window.

Hello,
I am facing a bug in LRC12.3.
I checked that it is not in LRC12.2.1.
When I try to open an image in full screen (command F), the fullscreen image appears then vanishes instantly. The behavior is correct as expected with the previous version (LRC 12.2.1) that I re-installed to check.
Tech data : Win10 Pro 22H2 (x64) up-to-date, AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8 cores, 32Gb Ram, NVidia RTX2070Super (last studio driver), 2 screens.
LRC opened on Eizo Screen with grid view and a few images are selected, 2nd screen displays the Survey (N) view. At that point I want to display the individual images in full screen to see their details.
It worked fine till version LRC 12.2.1. It is broken in LRC 12.3.
Can you help me. This is a major function for me when I am editing my new sets of photos.
Regards,
Patrick Huguet

Hi. After latest update I can't turn on fullscreen preview when Lightroom is working on two monitors. When I press "F" key, it fullscreen preview just blinks and disappears. I need to disable dual screen by pressing "F11" key and only then I can preview photos on fullscreen. Is there any fix to this issue? I'm on Windows 11.

My PC has two displays, a set of 24", HDMI connected, Dells.  I've always operated with Lightroom Classic in this fashion, with my editing screen on the left and the grid view on the right, so I can see all of my thumbnails.

Up until v12.3, if I hit the "F" key to put the left screen in Fullscreen mode, it worked w/out issue.  After upgrading to v12.3, it just flickers once and then reverts back to the normal view.  However, if I hit "F11" (whihc toggles the second screen on/off) and turn the second Lightroom Classic screen off, "F" works just fine.

I tried contacting Adobe's support via email and chat, but neither channels worked, so figured I'd give it a try here and see if anyone else has run into this issue.

Hi Adobe-Team,

I have one monitor and I'm using the secondary view window. If I press F11, the window is shown.

When Lightroom looses focus, the window disapears. Prior to v12.3 the window appeared again, when Lightroom got back the focus. In v12.3 the secondary view window is not shown again and I have to press F11 again. This happens everytime, Lightroom looses focus.

When I switch back to 12.2.1 the application is behaving, like expected: the secondary view window is visible, as long as Lightroom has focus, hidden, when it losses focus and shown again, when Lightroom gets focus back. If I install 12.3 the secondary view window will not show again, after Lightroom lost focus, until I again press F11.

I can easily reproduce this:

  1. I open Lightroom
  2. I press F11 to show the secondary view windows
  3. I click on an emtpy area of my taskbar or, if visible, on the desktop, so Lightroom looses focus
  4. now the secondary view window disappears, which also happened prior to v12.3
  5. now I click somewhere in the Lightroom window to give back focus
  6. now the secondary view window is not shown, prior to v12.3 it then was shown again

Regards

Michael

Same problem with M1 Mac studio, two screens, only since upgrade to 12.3.
When I minimise LR and return to it, or my computer sleeps and wakes, or when I hit F for full screen, then the secondary window on which I have LoupView jumps back to the first screen, over the main window. This is a minor annoyance if I'm not using full-screen, but when using full screen, it's extremely annoying as I can't get to the main window to fix the problem.

This is a new behaviour/issue:

I am using Lightroom Classic 12.3. on Windows 10.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Show Secondary Display (press F11)
2) Switch to any other app, secondary window dissapears as in the previous versions
3) Switch back to Lightroom, secondary window DOESN'T appear, but it did in previous version of LR

I guess it might be a newly introduced bug as this behaviour doesn't make sense to me.

(BTW I wish it wouldn't even disappeared in the first place, but that is another story - some toggle would be great too)

Secondary display I have open but when I go to another app then back the secondary display closes. If I do masking or enhance the secondary display closes plus other things does the same thing. This has been plaguing me for a few years and it is very annoying. To mention this does this for a few weeks then the secondary display stays open no matter what else I do which is what it should do. Now this goes through this cycle of working fine then not so why it is good then not is a mistery. Again very annoying because having to keep reopening the secondary display is a big why. Yes I can just hit F11 to open but I use the key board function keys for specific things,I have them switched to Logioptions function. To switch logioptions off then hit F11 to open secondaryt display then switch back on the logioptions is very cumbersome. It seems to be in updates this introduce this problem then another update the issue goes away over the last few years.

LRC 12.3, Windows 10.

Pressing "F" key to enter preview briefly shows the image full screen, but then immediately reverts to previous screen mode (Library or Develop)

Bugf still present after quitting application or complete power cycle of PC.

I'm one of those people with a single ultrawide monitor who keeps the Secondary Display window off to the side of the main LrC window (i.e. both windows on the same display surface) so there's always a grid view available while in Develop mode.  As others have reported, as of v12.3 the Secondary Display window is very eager to disappear whenever I pretty much do anything in LrC that doesn't directly involve the Secondary Display window.  This new behavior is indisputably a productivity regression for me and is thus a Big Deal, so I reverted back to v12.2.1 and the behavior immediately went back to normal.  Like others, I will stay on v12.2.1 until Adobe fixes the bug behind all this.

Prior to reverting, I saved the output I got from Help > System Info... while I was still on v12.3.  Here it is:
