P: Library zoomed view shows wrong color

When zooming into an image in library mode, the color changes suddenly and differs from all the consistent colours shown in develop mode or library mode (fit image). I just updated to LR10.1 and appreciated other fixed bugs. I am using an external BenQ display calibrated to AdobeRGB profile using xrite. The images have Adobe profiles (AdobeVivid) applied.

I have exactly the same issue. Using a MacBook Pro 2019 running Big Sur and LR 10.1. The colours in the zoomed preview are desaturated compared to the thumbnail or standard view. Which is correct...? Any idea when this is going to be resolved? I see it was reported well over a month ago and there are no new updates at present for LR.

I have tried with and without GPU activated and have tried a different colour profile and neither makes any difference. Got no confidence at all now in the colour I apply to my images. When it this going to be resolved please?

I've spent a bit more time on this and it only occurs in Library mode. The colours in library mode desaturate when zoomed. The colours between normal view and zoom mode in Develop appear OK.

I've seen this happen on Windows but only momentarily. If you wait a few seconds, do the colors correct themselves? My monitors are calibrated with a Datacolor Spyder5Pro.

No it doesn't change anything, it's not like if LR was creating a new preview.

The new update doesn't solve anything …

Just updated to Lightroom Classic 10.1.1 and zooming into 100% in the develop module does keep the same color. Library  module has the same shift, I can live with that for now but still annoying.

I just changed from Windows PC to Apple MacBook Pro M1, when I noticed same issue. In library mode zooming the saturation changed significantly, no matter what kind of picture (raw,jpg...) As I tried on my windows PC with latest LRC version no problem at all. Then I tried LR und PS, zooming a picture with no such bug whatsoever.

Adobe again displayed total lack of quality control and unimaginable levels of sloppiness while releasing their software. Such a bug should never be allowed in release since it is plainly reproducible within 1-2 clicks of any standard workflow in LR!!!

No, none of Adobe’s testers myself included discovered the big, it's extremely rare.

I can well imaging that a SW with thousands of features and hundreds of different HW deployments it needs to run on makes it difficult to detect such a bug. Still, for Mac users it seems to be easily reproducible at least maybe for those applying color management. So I would not consider it "extremely rare". Or are there Mac users with LR10.1.1 on Big Sur who do not see this issue?

My son doesn't have this problem on either a MacBook Pro 16 or a MacBook M1 16gb. Same for the laptop displays and a 4k external Dell monitor. So it could be a setting difference. He is using the latest versions of macOS and Lightroom with no add-ins for either. Both are uncalibrated with the Apple profiles.

Aside, he does not have any of the other problems reported on this forum other than slow scrolling in the Library module which has existed in every version of Lightroom.

As me and many others have this issue and can easily reproduce it - I again rechecked also with AdobeRGB default profile, with internal MBP display, with/without GPU, for different camera brands- and as it might be not very obvious depending on the object color nature but clearly visible in comparison of the library vs. develop zoomed image, may I ask you to provide some screenshots of the same image in lib/dev mode fit screen/zoomed view? I can also share an example image to compare the result on my / your sons system. I would appreciate to see that there are systems out there with latest LR / MacOs who don't show this bug which many of us annoys.

Have no idea what the Adobe tester here is saying, I just did a clean install of Big Sur with complete wipe of hdd, and upon installing the LR Classic the bug is there plain and obvious. I cannot imagine this is "extremely rare". My machine is MacBook Pro 16 2019 maxed out except for SSD.
