P: Map Module Bug with Place Search Field

Community Beginner ,
Mar 19, 2012 Mar 19, 2012

1. I search for a place, say "London"
2. I then zoom, pan, scroll the map to the exact location I want.
3. I click on a photo in the filmstrip so I can geotag it

The map then re-centres itself on my search field, losing my location I just found.

To get around this, I have to remember to clear the search field first - it would be great if I didn't have to do this 🙂

Think I found a bug with Lightroom 4.0

If you have a location searched, then use the map feature to find the location of a picture, double clicking on the map goes to the search location not the selected picture.

Steps to reproduce:
1 - Find Picture with GPS Co-Ords then select Map Module.
2 - in the Search (Map Module) search for a Location (e.g. Nelson) and click enter
*Maps now goes to searched location
3. Double Click on Photos (bottom of screen to go to Photo Location#
*Map now goes to photo Location
4. Double click on Map
*Map goes back to the searched location (in this case Nelson)
I would expect it to zoom in on the current location
