P: Option "Remove Chromatic Aberrations" adds more aberrations

Hi,

my issue is related to images taken with my Nikon Z 800mm PF lens. When processing RAW files taken with a Z8 and this lens the "Remove Chromatic Aberrations" option in Lightroom Classic adds more chromatic aberrations than it removes. Note that when using Nikons NX Studio this issue does not appear (it properly removes the aberrations).

I have contacted Nikon about this issue and they are arguing that since NX Studio is capable of dealing with the aberrations produced by my lens this is a problem with Adobe Lightroom Classic (i.e. that the lens profile used by Lightroom cannot properly capture the peculiarities of my copy).

I have attached a more detailed description of the issue as a pdf.

The RAW file used for the comparison can be accessed via this link:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Kf2QmqeSXYVdi1Jp9Lb7BNuHp6lZxHh8/view?usp=drive_link
In order to properly see the problem in this raw file, saturation and vibrance have to be pushed to the maximum values.

The following crops are from the center of this RAW file with pushed saturation and vibrance.

with "Remove Chromatic Aberration" option DISABLED:

800mm-center-crop-no-lightroom-correction.jpg

with "Remove Chromatic Aberration" option ENABLED:

800mm-center-crop-with-lightroom-correction.jpg

Note that when enabling this option expecially a region in the upper left gets bad color fringing.

Now my question would be, whether the default lens profile for the 800mm PF lens used by Lightroom Classic has a problem or whether i will be able to get rid of these problems by creating my own lens profile?
