After updating to Lightroom Classic, the crop overlay lines are thinner and lighter than before. Can't see them on most photos.

Lightroom Classic CC 7.5 was released today and should address this issue.  If you don’t see the update in your Creative Cloud App, hit the [Ctrl/Cmd]+ [Alt/Opt]+[R] to force a refresh.

Give the new version a try and let us know if it solves the issue.

The lines are thicker as long as the USE GRAPHICS PROCESSOR is turned OFF. When I turn it ON the lines are faint again — except for the swirl option.

I see the same issue on Windows 7 with LR Classic 7.4 with 'Use Graphics Processor' checked. This is clearly (pun) not fixed on Windows 7 systems!

So this is the issue:

With the Graphics Processor Acceleration disabled (turned off) the hor/vert grid is white = excellent; however, the work flow speed will be reduced in this current setting. My request is to have the GPA enabled with the grid in an off white pattern, not the current black. The current LR v7.4 only enlarged the grid pattern. LR needs to create the off white color grid.

Not fixed here too on Windows 10 with 'Use Graphics Processor' checked.

Based on your comments, and my own testing I am going to reopen the issue.

With GPU off, it is working as expected.
With GPU on (and fresh driver from nVidia today) it is not. Too faint and the Fibonacci spiral is not rendered correctly. Thanks for your feedback.

For me the best solution would be to have a choice of colors, even if they are just the primaries plus white and black. Setting line thickness would also be useful. What I find odd is that the crop overlay is thin and faint, but the Loop overlay grid is almost too bright and thick. Having them both the same, with total control of color, line thickness and grid scale would be a big improvement.
