P: Playing video causes high CPU usage by VTDecoderXPCService and dynamiclinkmediaserver process

Playing this video in Lightroom's Loupe View will case high CPU usage by VTDecoderXPCService(more than 300%) and dynamiclinkmediaserver(more than 80%) process, and always stuck while playing this video.

Playing the same file in Bridge 10.1.0.163 is fine, VTDecoderXPCService uses only 3% CPU and dynamiclinkmediaserver uses only 0% CPU.

Playing the same file in finder's Quick Lookup is fine, too, VTDecoderXPCService uses only 3% CPU and dynamiclinkmediaserver uses only 0% CPU.

I did a deeper test and here is the results:
  1. No matter color mode is DLog-M, HLG, or Normal, this issue happens.
  2. No matter the extension is .mp4 or .mov, this issue happens.
  3. I only tested H.265 format, but havn't tested H.264 format
  4. The higher resolution it is, the higher CPU usage VTDecoderXPCService use. But even lowest resolution (1080p) video taken by DJI Mavic 2 Pro will cause significant more CPU usage (>70%) than Adobe Bridge (~2%).
  5. Playing this video taken by iPhone 11 Pro in LrC's Loupe View also cause high CPU usage by VTDecoderXPCService: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lk0h14ktlg1grsl/2020-05-24162850.mp4?dl=0

Hi Victor, 

Thanks for bringing this to our notice.

We can see the video playback stuck issue on few machines but not in all.

Could you please post your "System Info" [LR -> Help -> System Info] ?

CPU usage by VTDecoderXPCService touches 300% and more. DLMS stays within 50%.
