P: Problems typing into spine in Lightroom 5

LEGEND ,
Nov 28, 2013 Nov 28, 2013

At a Lightroom workshop at the weekend we were running through the book module and noticed that only those with Lightroom 4 could type in the spines on their dust cover. All font sizes etc were checked and correct.

I can't repro the problem in 5.3RC. Mac or Windows? Which cover?

Hmmmm, I've just tried that and it didn't work until I double clicked in the spine field to turn the double headed arrow into a cursor. Any chance you're seeing the same thing?

Unfortunately the double headed arrow does not turn into the text cursor on double clicking, works fine in all other text boxes.

I have looked into it further and now find it is only the template cover we happened to be using for this workshop. (just my luck). The other templates work OK. I have used this template many times in Lightroom 4 and it was OK. It is the template that is 2nd to bottom. I have attached a snapshot of the template.

Workaround for now - you can add the spine text on another template and then switch to that cover template

Yes thanks for all your help. Its not really a problem now I know its just this template, but it was a bit frustrating and could be for others till they realise too.
