Try this:
In Finder, go to your Applications folder.
Select Lightroom 3.5 and do Command-I to open information
Look for "Open in 32-bit mode" under the General area.

Is it checked? if so, try unchecking it, then start Lightroom and see if the slideshow export works.

WOOHOOO! Thank you so much! It worked for me too!
Why do you think that affected Lightroom's ability to make a slideshow?

Alfred, how old is your Mac? Is it possible your Mac isn't 64-bit capable?

Becky . . . You gave me the perfect Christmas gift. Thanks so much. Have been trying to figure this out for ages. Rob Sylvan over at Photoshop User Help Desk gave me this site for a solution to the problem and it works perfectly now. Thanks again, Glenn

Hi Becky,
I have not been back because the frustration with this program is building.
Let's see will try a last time;
OS is correct
The computer and system were working fine a week before the error, so I don't think is hardware.
I tried all of the above, and no luck!!!!!!
Thanks
Alfred

Any thoughts!
Thanks

Alfred, can you try upgrading to Lightroom 3.6 (available now on adobe.com, or just check for updates in Lightroom's Help menu)?
