P: Soft-proofing auto-advances

Soft-proofing has had a weird behavior for a while now. I'll have several images selected, and I want to make soft-proofed adjustments for each. So I'll click on the first one, hit S for soft-proofing. Then when it shows soft-proofing mode, I'll make my first adjustment, to exposure or whatnot - and then it creates the virtual copy, which is expected. What's not expected is that this takes a few moments, then right after the soft-proof VC is created, it auto-advances to the next selected photo! So then I have to go back to the VC of the one I was trying to work on, then I can make make all my adjustments.

I have to go through this every time.

The steps you include above work fine on the two Mac systems I've just checked on. Therefore, it's possible that the issue is specific to your computer. This can happen as result of the LrC preference file becoming corrupt. To reset the preference file follow Method 1 at https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/setting-preferences-lightroom.html

Working correctly here too. I did see if having Caps Lock on made a difference as it turns on Auto Advance for ratings etc, but it didn't make a difference to Soft Proofing.

I tried resetting the preferences just now. It might be a little faster, but the auto-advance still happens. Did you have multiple images selected/highlighted when you tried it? It's not an issue if I only have one photo selected.

I'm seeing it when there's multiple images.
