I simply highlight that the algoritm of Super Resolution doesn't work properly with Fujifilm RAF from S5pro.

The final result have wrong ratio. Both side was enlarged but with different ratio.

Here an example (screenshot from Lr but same behavior in Lrc):

Original image: RAF 4256x2848  (12,12Mpx)

Enlarged: DNG: 11907x3984 (47,43Mpx  ratio 3.9 compared to the original 12Mpx)

Is the image correct in Loupe and Develop and skewed only in Thumbnails?

or

Is the image wrong in Loupe and Develop as well?

The image was wrong both in Library and Develop module.
Moreover if you generate the same image with camera raw, the DNG file become wrong.

I've tested with Camera Raw, Lightrom and Lightroom Classic. All have same issue.

Here the information of the wrong DNG file

Thanks for the information. Would you be willing to supply an original raw file which exhibits the issue for us to test?

I give to you a "double gift" 🙂

Not only one raw, but 4 different raw with 2 different error:

Fujifilm S5 pro raw - Fuji SR sensor - 12MPx file > result wrong ratio

http://scattaeimpara.it/download/SuperRes/DSCF2463.raf

Fujifilm S9100 - Super CCD HR sensor - 9MPx file > result wrong ratio

http://scattaeimpara.it/download/SuperRes/DSCF5348.raf

Nikon D500 - Raw-M and Raw-S > result wrong final resolution (not x4 but 5 or more)

http://scattaeimpara.it/download/SuperRes/EPF_3665.nef

http://scattaeimpara.it/download/SuperRes/EPF_3743.nef

I hope that this help to find a solution.

I am trying to use Super Resolution on a Nikon D1x raw file.  The image comes out squashed!  What can I do?  I need to use Super Resolution on my file.  I tried it in Photoshop with the same result.

I have over 7,500 Nikon D1X NEF files in my library. I tried running Super Resolution on one and my result was similar to yours. This is not a bug and occurs because the D1X files have rectangular pixels instead of square pixels.  I opened the image in Photoshop and used Free Transform to restore the correct aspect ratio. Not an ideal workflow but for select images it is certainly possible.
