P: When browsing the History Panel, LrC 13.0 crashes on Windows

Panic!!!

Windows 11, quite powerful PC with dedicated GPU, i7 13th gen 32GB RAM.
I updated to LrC v13 and updated the catalog upon opening. Now if I import a NEW photo and go to the development module, LrC crashes. no problem with photos already imported.

Rick, thanks for your time! I sure don't know what the problem is - and now since I checked the box "automatically send crash reports to adobe" no crash dialog is popping up. If there is a place on the hard drive where the crash reports are stored, I'd be happy to dig them out and send or screen shot them. I am a local admin and have access to all files.

One issue I have found and somewhat solved for me has to do with the way the develop presets are stored. At some point (years ago) I renamed the "User Presets" group and that seemed to cause confusion in this version. I deleted my old groups, added a new preset to the User Presets group (which hadn't showed until then) and the preset worked fine on several pictures. Until the next random crash...

I sure don't envy your software engineers - I can only imagine the hair ppulling (and overtime!) that's going on.

Crashlogs from your computer won't ID the issue in our system and are of very limited value.

@Rikk Flohr: Photography  why are you repeating over and over the same qustion? It is not even clear who you are talking to.
I am sure that by nowm Adobe must be aware there are hugge problems with this upgrade: is someone wotking on it? We are paying, you know, and some of us make money with this...

I can see how you became confused. This thread contains many other threads, and the questions you are referring to were asked when those threads were distinct prior to their being merged.  If you read them all at once in a line, they might seem confusing to someone new to the forum. 

The Bug is marked Acknowledged (see right-hand column) and the team is working on a fix. When the fix is released, the reply will be to this thread, and then all of those other threads merged into this Primary thread will be notified too.

Hallo everyone,

I have the same (or very similar) problem too, but maybe I can add some information of something I observed. LR13 crashes in edit-mode when I use an existing preset, but also when I convert the camera-profile to a costum made profile. While crashing, the edit history of the picture goes corrupt The interesting thing is, that LR only crashes if the Edit History is visable on my screen. When it is not visible (for example because my preset-panel is open, and the History is way below it and not on the screen), LR13 keeps working. However, as soon as I scroll down to make the History visable, LR crashes. Once it crashed on a particular image, the History of this picture stays corrupt (and is blank). If I restart LR (with some hassle) and go to such a corrupt History-picture, LR crashes immediatly when scrolled down to the History....

I am now going back to LR12.5, as this situation is entirely unworkable for me, but I hoop this gets fixed soon.

Underneath, I added a system report (and LR sent several crash-reports with my email-adress Yesterday and today).

13.0.1 has totally broken LR for me. It won't even open now and crashes on open even before the loading screen.
