A lot of lr.cat from LR5

Hello! When I searched my mbp for big files to make space on my ssd, it found around 80 lr.cat from LR5. I went from Lr5 tol Lr6 and now Lr CC. Do i still use these catalogues and the photos inside. Every lr.cat from Lr5 are around 1 gb in size.

Old backups, and no, you can delete them, especially if they are OLD catalogs from older versions no longer supported. 

You may wish to turn off the Lightroom backup options; they only backup the catalog and you want to back up everything you can't afford to lose.

Oh, and the photo's are not 'in' a catalog. The catalog simply points to the locatin of photos.
