Adaptive profiles and RW2 images

Community Beginner ,
Apr 17, 2025 Apr 17, 2025

Having upgraded to v14.2 I was keen to use adaptive profiles.   However, they are not showing in my basic panel - I have the adobe profiles etc.  I am using Panasonic RW2 images and am wondering if LrC is not recognising RW2 files as RAW?   I have had no other issues using LrC and RW2 files.     Anybody have any thoughts/advice?

Thanks

It was a download issue.   I have it now.  Thanks.

Hi @jeremy_3533! Welcome to the community!

Could you let us know what camera model you're using, as well as your Lightroom Classic and Camera Raw versions? Thanks so much!

Thanks for your assistance.  I am now using a Panasonic G9 (RW2 raw files).   I have upgraded to v14.2 of LrC, but I don't think I have camera raw.   Extra info - I have uploaded a Sony (arw) raw file provided by a friend and adaptive profiles is missing for that as well.  So it may not be a RW2 file issue.  Maybe it didn't download correct when I updated to v14.2?

Do you see the adaptive profiles in the profile browser? To open the browser click on the 4 square sign.

If you see the appropriate profiles click on the little star in the upper right corner of the thumbnail of the appropriate profile. With these click you add the profile to the favorities and these are showing in the list

I assume you are talking about the new adaptive profiles demonstrated in the following link, not the camera matching profiles

So, first obvious inquiry, you are working with a RAW image, not a raster image, correct?
