At today the forums Spellcheck still considers "metadata" as an error.
Given the context, given the frequency we use this word here and given that the word is now part of the common vernacular I think it should NOT be considered an error.
Silly small thing perhaps, but it is very annoying to constantly see that the Spellcheck is not recognising the word as legit.
I am not sure this must be filed as an idea so I left it as discussion.

No spell-checking of the word here.
Sure it's not your browser's spellcheck?

Here below you can see what I get if I type and activate the Forums "Spellcheck" via the icon.

Understood. I assumed that the spell-check was triggering automatically, rather than you selecting it. I never use the forum version, because my browser does the job without any input from me.

Google Chrome's spell checker is far superior to the forum platform's (Khoros) spell checker:
For several years, the forums explicitly disabled browser spell checking, but at some point in the last year or so, Khoros finally stopped doing that!

In my case the forums were still disabling Google Chrome spell checker.
I have installed your script and the it works now.
Thanks for the fix.
P.s.
Speaking of spell checking on Mac the spell checker is always disabled in LrC.
It must be enabled every time we restart the app.
Maybe you can fix that somehow.

I reported this issue directly to Apple.

The forum platform is again disabling browser spellchecking for me too, sigh:
I must have been tripping on leftover Thanksgiving turkey tryptophan. I re-enabled my script.
@Keith Reeder, which browser are you using?

Re Check Spelling While Typing, I think it's a bug in LR -- a quick google suggests it's the app's responsibility for remembering that setting.
Another person requested the same thing in this Idea:
Good luck in getting that converted to a Bug. The current behavior is clearly as-designed 😆

I'm using Opera - and interestingly, the spellcheck has stopped working here, too...

Surely it's an issue with the Adobe Community Forums and not the LrC Application.
