Hello,

I have an Apple Mini M1 running macOS Monterey with 16GB of RAM.

Photoshop and Lightroom will open and run fine. Lightroom Classic and Bridge will not. They start in the dock and then just disappear.

Both Lightroom Class and Bridge run fine on my MacBook which has an Intel processor.

Thanks,

Roger

What versions of the two products?

If you reset the LR prefs, any difference?

Hi LR Classic is 11.3.1

Bridge is 12.0.1

I reset the LR prefs manually and rebooted my computer. Same results. LR Classic starts and then appears to crash.

Try logging into another account (you may need to make one), still disappearing?
Try starting up in Safe mode (hold down Shift Key when booting), still disappearing?
You might want to try running a free utility like Onyx: still disappearing?

When you say disappearing, if you go into Activity Monitor and search for Lightroom Classic, is it listed as running or not?

Hi,

I created a new machine account and it started fine.

Are there any usual suspects that may be causing the problem on my main account?

Well here's where the real work starts. Something loading in that account is causing this crash. Now you'll have to try through trial and error to see what is causing this conflict.

You could consider doing a 'clean install' of the OS too but that's a lot of work. It does clean up a lot of "gunk' polluting that account.

The bottom line is, the crash isn't happening on the other account so it isn't LR per se but it and something that's making it crash.
