Hello!, My Lightroom Classic fails after opening. What happens is the screen goes gray (see attachment). I then must go to Task Manager (Windows 11) to quit the application. This has been a persistent problem for about 8 months now. I have posted here before about this problem, but have never received a resolution.
I am running a Dell Computer with 32 GB RAM, with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card installed. All graphic drivers are current.
If I do not get a resolution to this problem I have no other option bu to terminated my subscription and start using ON1 Photo Raw and DxO PhotoLab8

Hey @ras527,
Thank you for sharing those details. Let's see if we can figure out what’s going on with Lightroom Classic. I noticed your previous post, and it seems that the solutions provided didn’t resolve your issue. I apologize for that. I'm reaching out to the team for assistance. In the meantime, could you let me know if this problem occurs on any other device? Is it happening intermittently or consistently? Also, have you tried navigating to Preferences > Performance and turning off the GPU?
Best,
^CM

@ras527,
Please let us know if any other suggestions in this thread by community members help. I have reached out to the team, and they would like a bit more information.
1. What is your exact current version? You can find this by going to Help> System Info. Copy and paste everything into a text file and attach it to your response.
2. Do you remember the first version you noticed this in?
3. Is this issue noticed with a fresh catalog
4. If the App is left in this state, does the system recover eventually?
5. Also, please collect the logs
A. Location of CameraRaw logs in
windows %appdata%\Adobe\CameraRaw\Logs
B. lrc_console.log
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom
Please PM me the logs directly (@Cmass).

Have you considered the possiblity of a corrupt catalog? I had recent experince with LrC acting like that. My catalog had been corrupted by bad ram in a newly built Win11 computer. Try creating a new catalog. If that works, imports some photos to check it out.
It might be possible to import the old catalog into the new one. I have never had to try that, though.
Are you saying that you haven't been able to use LrC for eight months? I'm concerned that since you say the problem has been going on for a long time, that your backups might be corrupt, too.

Please do the LR menu command Help > System Info and copy/paste the entire contents here so we can see exactly which versions of hardware and software LR thinks you're running and important LR options that are set.
