After updating, my catalog is empty

Hi.

Since LrC was updated I have not been able to access my work in earlier versions. When I open "recent catalogs", they contain no pictures, and I am asked to "import" to start. I wonder, where my previous work has gone. I have to edit every picture again with the new update and have obviously lost years of work. Can I do anything to regain it?

Kind Regards, Per Gade

Search your drive for files with an .lrcat extension. Those are Lightroom Classic catalogs.

If you try a backup catalog, then delete the 'catalogname helper.lrdata' in the catalog folder before starting Lightroom again. The helper info must be (and will be) rebuilt, because it no longer matches the replaced catalog file.

If @JohanElzenga answer doesn't help, try to restore the catalog from your recent backup.
