After upgrading Lightroom Classic from 12.2 to 13.2 Import fails to show any Nikon NEF Files

Hi I just updated LR Classic from 12.2 to 13.2 running on MAC OS 14.2.1 on Apple Mini M1 and since then the Import screen fails to list any files (NEF or JPG) on any disk - neither from locally attached SSDs nor from the camera card (SD). The camera is a Nikon Z5 and I have successfully imported thousands of pictures using this equipment prior to the update. Photoshop 2023 can open the files no problem. The app runs smoothly and can open previously imported pictures. None of the four options to import/convert or add files show any files at all on any of my local disks, which are a mixture of NVMe, SSDs (USB-C and USB-A) and Lexar USB card reader.

Any help to resolve this issue would be appreciated.

Hey, @colinham. Welcome to the Lightroom Classic Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

Try these troubleshooting steps:

  • Ensure Lightroom has all the required permissions on the macOS:https://adobe.ly/48uRct1
  • Update to the latest macOS version & check if that helps.

Let em know how it goes. Thanks!
