AI-based denoising for Leica Q2 DNGs

New Here ,

I have problems with the AI-based denoising in Lightroom Classic 14.2 on Leica Q2 images.

When I use the function on Q2 images, the results are almost always unusable. For comparison: With my Sony A7RII, the denoising usually delivers usable results.

Does anyone know this problem?

Here is a small comparison: Both pictures were taken in RAW format with ISO 3200 and aperture 8:

I downloaded some sample Leica Q2 images with ISO 3200, 4000, and 12500 from dpreview.com, e.g.

and I got good results with Denoise in my LR 14.2 / Mac.

Next troubleshooting steps:

1. Upload a couple original problem DNGs to Wetransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive or similar free service and post the sharing link here.

2.Do the LR menu command Help > System Info and copy/paste the entire contents here so we can see exactly which versions of hardware and software LR thinks you're running and important LR options that are set.

The green noise, etc shown in your Leica image typically occurs if shadows in original are very dark and subsequently pushed to brighten. I'm fairly sure this has been raised before, but can't find the relevant thread. It's also not unique to Leica.
