All Metadata added by Photo Mechanic to a mp4 is not imported in Lightroom

Does anyone have the same problem? 

MP4 files from DJI mini 2 are edited in Photo Mechanic for metadata.

On import into Lightroom, no information is extracted to the database of Lightroom. So these files are not to be found in a search. It makes Lightroom useless for archiving mp4 files.

So on import, but also on export, Lightroom is incapable of using the correct metadata.

No GPS, no name, caption, just nothing.

Does anyone know a solution?

Mac or Windows?

In OSX, Lr has several bugs related to video files.

Im on the latest OSX. Any idea when this will be solved? I see posts from years ago.

Unfortunately LR has never written metadata back to videos or in exported videos.  This very old feature request is one of the most popular requests:

LR's handling of video is quite incomplete, and finishing it is clearly a very low priority for Adobe.

Attach a sample video here and I can likely figure out what's going wrong and perhaps suggest a workaround.
