Just wondering if anyone else lost color labels with the Oct. 2021 catalog update? I use color labels extensively in addition to picks and stars. But my color labels are gone. Everything else seems to have transfered fine. Wondering if it's just me.

So when you go into Metadata > Color Label Set, which set is active?

Here I have Green as the text in Metadata panel, Lightroom Default is active, and the thumbnail has the colour as expected.

No issue on this end.

Can't hurt, maybe try resetting prefs?

I've not heard of anyone else having this problem.

First review Metadata > Color Label Set. What you describe can be caused by choosing a different label set from when you originally applied those labels.

Thanks. But I was using only the default set.

If other metadata looks OK, it's unlikely that it'll be any other explanation. Switch the Metadata panel to the default view, find a picture that you know should have a label, and you'll see the text (bottom of my screenshot) that is recorded when you set a color label. Then compare this to the Color Label Set as above.

When I look at the metadata, I see the color label. But it doesn't show as a frame around the image. And more importantly, I can't filter by the color.  If I filter by green color label, LR says "no photo selected" and no green labelled photos appear in the filmstrip.

John - you're brilliant!

Hours spent with Adobe support and no one thought to look here.

I had moved to a different Color Label Set.
