Anyway to recover from edit process which hadn't been backed up?

Dec 03, 2023 Dec 03, 2023

hi everyone,  I had accidentally opened a new catalog LR CC v13 while i was looking around the settings.  However, the catalog which was being used before the new catalog hadn't been backed up since Nov 15, and I had been importing and editing new photos during Nov 16 until yesterday.  when i reopened the backup of Nov 15 there's no new recording of edits after that day.  is there anyway to recover any of the editing process of RAW files during Nov 15 to Dec 3?  thanks

Starting a fresh catalog does not delete the previously used catalog so you shouldn't need to resort to a backup? It should just be a matter of opening that previous catalog again. If you made a lot of imports and edits using that fresh catalog then you can merge all this back into your main catalog when that's open, using the "Import From Another Catalog" command. This method respects a lot of organisational information, edit history etc which other methods would strip away.
