I migrated LRC to a new computer (pictures and catalog). Navigator structure is OK but all previous Attributes (i.e. flags and color-coding) are gone. Any clue on what happened?

You don't say how you "migrated". Was one of the steps to import the photos into a catalog on the new computer?

If so, that would explain the problem you are having. Please read these instructions on moving LrC and photos to a new computer. Please follow the instructions carefully, and do not add in additional steps that are not mentioned. By following the steps exactly and not adding steps not mentioned, you will see that Importing photos is not a step in this process.

Many thanks for your help... but unfortunately I think I went beyond a certain point with my migration and I am not able to recover the "original" catalog on the old PC (at least I see one but it seems to be empty).

Anyway lessons learned, it won't happen again 🙂

Looking at the bright side of it (I am not a professional photographer) ... I have now the opportunity to re-edit my pictures using the latest and greatest from LR 12.5

Hello @M.CRA

Don't you have a recent backup of your catalog file(s)? If not, then you need to committ yourself to making regular and automated backups of your catalog file; and of all original photos; to a different physical disk than the originals. No excuses, regular and automated backups are not optional.
