Hi @robertoc88098438

Welcome to the Community! Thanks for reaching out. Let's try to figure this out.

We would need a few details on the issue; Did this start happening after the update? Do you see any error messages?

How are you trying to back up?

Follow these steps: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/back-catalog.html.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Ranjisha

I hadn't done backups for several months because the disk space was low, now I added an external SSD where I brought the catalog ... everything is ok ... lightroom works, but when I ask to do the backup this does not finish the sequence

"I added an external SSD where I brought the catalog .." OK, but did you [Choose] a different location for the backup in the Backup dialog? If it is still 'pointing' to the disk with low space that could still be the problem.

Be aware that you must have the Catalog and its backups on physically separate drives, or you risk losing everything if a drive with both catalog & backups fails.

Sorry, I don't speak Italian and the translation function don't translate text in graphics. But as far as I see there are a problem with the access rights to the appropriate folder. Do you have checked/set the access rights as described in the linked document I posted in my former anwser?

If this doesn't help we need more informations about your system.

  • Adobe product and version number
  • Operating system and version number

Maybe you can post your Photoshop system info. In Photoshop goto Help > System Info and hit the copy button. Then paste the entire informations into this thread

Error message:- Translation:  check the permissions of the and make sure you have enough space on the backup drive and the master catalog drive.

It is still possible that "low space" on the internal drive is preventing the backup.

It is sometimes suggested you need 20% disk volume as free space on the internal drive.

Did you follow through all steps with granting 'Full Disk Access' as in the link given by @AxelMatt ?

https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/quick-tips-how-to-give-full-disk-access...

Also post a screen-clip of the Backup dialog that appears when you shut-down LrC, to see the Backup folder location.
