Beach-balling and slow performance when using the brush tool

Using  iMac 24" M1 chip Sonoma v. 14.5.  LrC v. 13.3.   Lots of beachballing which seems to start after using the program for a while.  Also, the brush intermittently shows strokes when using the mask and at times doesn't show them at all.  Sometimes the strokes show up after a long period of lagging which makes it impossible to figure out where you are on an image.  On a good note, the eyedropper seems to work when on WB now.  Camera Raw limit was set to 10 and have increased it to 20 to see if that makes a difference (saw this suggestion in an older post).  Everything was working fine prior to the latest update.

Config.lua flags:

After upping the camera raw limit to 20 and using LRc for a couple of hours the problem has not recurred.  Since it is intermittent not sure if this will be a permentant fix or not.  I also optimized the program but had already done this since the new upgrade so not sure if that helped or not.

If the problem recurs I will let you know.  Can't find anyone else who seems to be having the problem.
