Stick with one Catalog if possible! It will make your life and finding your images so much easier.

16GB isn't huge with multiple TB drives  costing so little.

What i tried now i put some backup catalogues and other lightroom files on an extra disk – BUT now – most of my prewiev photos are missing! I know, its logical, because they are not anymore on my harddisc but at least there was a preview!!

@user3756666 , The Lightroom Catalog (.lrcat extension) and related support data files must remain in the same folder, preferably on your fastest disk. It is better to relocate the Back up sub-folder to another location preferably on a different disk.

You will need to replace the files you moved so that Lightroom Classic functions as designed.

Provide some additional information about your computer and resources available so other users can offer some advice.
