Can I plug my camera card into my reader and then connect to the computer? Or, plug card directly into the slot on the computer?

It doesn't matter, I have a camera card slot in my laptop and another slot in my desktop hub, and they both mount the same way on the computer desktop. It's essentially the same as plugging in a hard drive, SSD, or stick drive.
