Camera profile change with videos selected causes weird error message and may corrupt catalog

When I attempt to change camera profiles to the "Camera Matching - Standard" on a collection of Canon EOS R5 images, plus random videos that got included in the selection, I get a weird error message and the change is not applied to any images. Steps to reproduce:

1. Select at least one CR3 file (photo) and at least one MOV file (video)

2. Ensure that the focus is on a photo, not video

3. In the Develop tab, click Browse under the Profile menu

4. Select Camera Matching, Standard

5. Observe that LR begins to sync changes across the selection but an error appears: "An internal error has occurred: Cannot get frame: <AgErrorID>video_error</AgErrorID>" (see screenshot)

6. Observe that NO PHOTOS were updated with the profile change.

Obviously there's no reason to change the camera profile of a video file, but sometimes videos will get selected if you attempt to change the profile of an entire folder by selecting all files in the folder. Lightroom should just skip the videos like it would with any other change that doesn't affect the videos. I suspect that this error might be related to the fact that my video files are 10-bit 4:2:2 H.265 files, which Lightroom cannot play or even generate thumbnails for.

One other thing, and it's a biggie. The first time I got this error message Lightroom irreversibly corrupted the catalog! I had this exact same scenario affect LR 11 on my laptop a few months ago, and fortunately I have set my catalogs to backup at each exit now. So I only lost a bit of work since the last backup. I haven't been able to reliabily reproduce the corruption, but perhaps it's a race condition related to the error. This is a serious problem!

FYI, I have tried with a brand new catalog and with all plugins disabled. The same error occurs.

I'm running in Windows 10 with the catalog stored locally.

I think your recipe should include setting Auto Sync?

Also, do Help > System Info and report the exact version of LR 11 you have installed.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to reproduce the problem with 4 Canon EOS R5 .cr3s, an HEVC .mov, and an H.264 .mp4. If Adobe isn't able to reproduce a bug, they're very unlikely to put any effort into it, unless many people report it.  Suggested next steps:

1. Try resetting LR's preferences:
https://www.lightroomqueen.com/articles-page/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/

LR sometimes soils its preferences file, and resetting it can fix all sorts of wonky behavior. That article explains how to restore the old preferences if resetting doesn't help.

2. Make a test catalog with a few .cr3s and a video that shows the problem. Zip up the catalog, the photos, and the video and upload the .zip to Dropbox, Google Drive, or similar and post the sharing link here. Hopefully others can reproduce the problem using your files, and Adobe will pay more attention.
