can I import photos from my Google Pixel 4 to Lightroom Classic?

is it possible to import photos to Lightroom Classic (10.4) from my Google Pixel 4?
I get a "no photos found" message when I try, what am I doing wrong?

Also, what version of MACOS?

If Catalina  or later, outside of LrC, in the MACOS, bring up Security & Privacy, select Privacy, scroll down to Files and Folders, is removable volumes checked?
