I am with an iMac Retina, 27-inch, 2017, Ventura up-to-date 13.6.9. LR Classic fails to launch, shut down, relauched iMac, uninstalled, reinstalled LR CLassic, set prefrences to default, tried finding .plist files ... whatever I could find to troubleshoot ... still, for a second the intro screen with the silver-tinselled person might appear, then silence again. It's so frustrating, LR cloud-based and PS are still running on this iMac. On my MacBookPro all works. I just don't get what is wrong, very frustrating, anyone with a solution ... would HIGHLY appreciate ....

And in the folder that contains your catalog, their is no left over lock file? As would be the case if LrC crashed or was force quit.

An Irvat-Lock file I don't see.

Yesterday evening I contacted MacKeeper PrimeService, into the night and more hours today, 3 people were looking into it in detail. Among others, they tried launching the appliation in Safe Mode, they tried launching the iMac in Safe Mode, they tried reinstalling the application, they tried using a different user account, they tried checking for updates, we reinstalled the operating system ... after deinstalling all and making sure, no remains remain, still Adobe Creative Cloud is not downloadable, nor Lightroom Classic: I go into my Adobe account, click download Adobe Creative Cloud, it looks like downloading, I click on the .dmg file, the pink rectangular for download appears, the download bar is running, then = fluff - the download file disappears and complete silence, it can't be found on my iMac, in my Adobe Account it's still classified for download ... when I go into Adobe Help, read the Adobe troubleshoot log files instructions etc. , it frustrates me even more, it's simply toooooo overwhelming for me, not used to it, not good in it  ... I never had an issue like that .... again on my MacBookPro all is runing. What can I do?

We finally solved it! We set up a new user account on my iMac, which allowed us to open Lightroom Classic and moved all the data to this account. It was quite a process and nerve-racking for me, but it had a happy ending. I wouldn't have been able to do it by myself ....
