Issue: cannot install, rename, or delete Local Adjustment Presets

Windows 10, with current updates

LrC 13.2

Any additions, deletions, name changes to the .lrtemplate files found in directory:

C:\Users\gener\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Local Adjustment Presets

Are not reflected in LrC.  However, any new local preset I create withing LrC does appear in this directory.  Same behavior on two different computers with same OS.  (This type of operation I have done many times in the past.)

I have:

 -Restarted LrC, many times

 -reboot computer

-same behavior on two different computers

-In LrC preferences I did a Restore Local Adjustment Presets, no help

-With LrC closed, I have deleted all files in the "Local Adjustment Presets" folder and when LrC is started all the previous user presets are still listed and there are no .lrtemplate files in the

C:\Users\gener\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Local Adjustment Presets directory

The behavoir of the problem is that LrC is keeping a cache somewhere and it's not getting updated.

Is there a bug or am I having a bad day?

Thanks

Gene

So @Sunny_soulB837 you do not have these options at the bottom of the Local Adjustments preset list?

Yes, those options are there but they don't help with moving presets between computers and managing a groups of presets. Thanks

If you want to "import" Local Adj. presets unfortunately you must copy & paste them form one folder to another.

That is unfortunately what we must do to "share/import " them.

If you need to rename, update, delete them the options at the bottom work well and are better than manually editing the .lrtemplate files.

The other day I copied one Local Adj Preset form one catalog to another (I store presets with the catalog) and it worked.

I am on Mac.

Yes, I understand that you have to copy and paste into ....\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Local Adjustment Presets foler.  I always thought the process was easy and straight forward.  Now something strange is going  on like LrC also has a cache somewhere and renaming and etc of files in the ....\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Local Adjustment Presets directory isn't properly being relected.

"name changes to the .lrtemplate files"

Note that the name of a local-adjustment preset is stored inside the .lrtemplate file -- the file name itself is ignored.

In preferences I do NOT have "Store presets with this catalog" checked.

Question- If ithat option was checked, would the presets be stored inside the catalog or in a seperate file?

Thanks for you help

@Sunny_soulB837

When "Store with catalog" is checked the local Adjustment Presets will be stored inside the "LrSettings" folder that sits next to the Catalog itself.

.

This said other catalogs will NOT access them.
