Canon R6MarkII lightroom can't read cr3

i've searched here and most people say to update lightroom

i'm running lightroom classic 12.3 and camera raw 15.3 on a mac.  I just got the R6II and lightroom won't read the files.

they are on the disk, but won't open.

I also can't seem to find where I can speak to a human about this?

Do you have the latest version of Adobe Camera Raw?

I think i figured it out.  there are heic? copies also and they are the ones that wouldn't load.  I didn't even know they were being taken as I thought I set it to raw only.  if I unchecked those, the pictures load.

Support for the Canon R6 Mark II was added to LR Classic 12.0:

Next troubleshooting steps:

1. Do the LR menu command Help > System Info and verify you are indeed running 12.3.

2. When you say "won't open", give more details about what you see.  A full-resolution screenshot (not a phone pic) of the Import window would be best.
