Catalog can't be repaired

I am trying to get into Lightroom Classic and it is saying it can't open due to a catalog not being able to be repaired. I tried uninstalling, restarting, and then opening again. That did not work. 

 

What can be done to fix this problem? Does anybody have step by step instructions on how to do this?

The catalog file is corrupted and can't be used. Restore a recent backup copy of the catalog file.

Unzip a recent backup, copy the unzipped catalog file to the same folder where the corrupted file is located (thereby overwriting the bad copy with the good).

 

If that doesn't work, create a brand new folder and unzip again, copy the unzipped file and paste it into the new folder and see if that opens. (Do not use the same unzipped file that didn't work above).
