Change auto develop settings

I routinely start my processing with the ‘Auto’ button in the develop module. Then, since the Vibrance and Saturation are both too extreme, I unclick them before proceeding. Is there a way to change the Auto process to exclude, in this case, the Vibrance and Saturation adjustments, or, for that matter, any of the processes?

I don't think you can, but you could create a preset with saturation and vibrance set to 0, then apply it with one click after hitting Auto.

That said, on my photos, when I use auto, I generally get a small negative saturation value and a small positive vibrance. It's seldom extreme for me, especially with the negative saturation.

True, but it may even be quicker to just zero them out on the Auto screen.

You could try Jeffrey Friedl's  Personalize Auto Tone Plugin. I haven't looked it few years. So, can't offer any help as to how to go about using it.

Thanks, I'll look into that.
