Changing selected picture lags when using scroll wheel

1. Lightroom Classic 11.4
2. Windows 10 21H2 build 19044.1766
3. When in the library window, change the selected picture with the mouse's scroll wheel
4. It should change immediately the pictures in the lower bar that is showing the "nearby" pictures as it does when using the arrow keys of my keyboard but it lags about a second causing me to discard / select the wrong picture because it has not updated the selection yet
