Lightroom Classic 14.5.1
MacBook Pro 14 M4 Pro
Tahoe 26.1
When Collections are filtered by a term and you drag a photo to a collection, the photo gets added but the collection photo count does not change. The collection photo count doesn't update until you remove the filter or change the filter.
Although i'm on Tahoe, I feel this has been a issue for a long time.

I'm not observing that in my LR 14.5.1 / Mac OS 15.7.1. See the attached screen recording.
Unless Adobe can easily reproduce a problem, they won't pay much attention:
1. Please do the LR menu command Help > System Info and copy/paste the entire contents here so we can see exactly which versions of hardware and software LR thinks you're running and important LR options that are set.
2. Attach a screen recording (not a phone video) of the entire LR window so we can see the precise steps and symptoms (including the entire window often reveals important clues):

Thanks for trying, of course when I went to make a video it's not happening at the moment. Next time I see this happen i'll make a video. It's not a dealbreaker, just more of an annoyance.

I recalled a similar bug reported in LR 9.0 when filtering collections by color label:
The bug was never marked as resolved, but I can't reproduce that one either.

Hey @mspguy
Like @johnrellis, I was unable to reproduce the issue.
Lightroom Classic version: 14.5.1 [ 202508231203-c2638d01 ]
License: Creative Cloud
Language setting: en-US
Operating system: Mac OS 26
Version: 26.0.1 [25A362]
Application architecture: arm64
However, I did try to put an image in the same folder twice, and it did not change the count. Is it possible that is what happened? Like @johnrellis a video of the issue would be super helpful.

I tried creating a similar structure of collections and didn't observe the problem in my LR 14.5.1 -- the collection counts increased immediately as a I dragged new photos into the collection:
Try deleting the Helper.lrdata folder:
a) Do Catalog Settings > General > Show to open Finder / File Explorer on the current catalog folder.
b) Exit LR.
c) In that folder, delete the folder "<catalog> Helper.lrdata".
d) Restart LR, and it will rebuild the folder.
The Helper.lrdata folder caches information about metadata, keywords, folders, collections, and other things to speed the performance of LR and it can sometimes get corrupted. In recent versions, LR has used it more heavily to improve the speed of displaying metadata, and there have been a fair number of bugs with it.

Thanks, i've done this and will see what happens. Could be placebo effect, but everything at first glance seems much snappier now. I used to see the collection issue a lot, so should know pretty quick if it's still happening.
